1. tell us about yourself!
i am rae! some of my favourite things are: music, books, my friends, big hugs and bedtime.
2. what do you teach here at ahimsa & how would you describe your teaching style?
i teach a variety of classes here and enjoy them all. i am most inspired by asana lineages rooted in repetition and consistency, so my teaching style usually reflects that - focused, grounding and meditative - although i also like to incorporate elements of playfulness and exploration. i place strong emphasis on form and support, offering plenty of options and variations to prioritise awareness and safety in your body as you move. most of all, i aim to create a nurturing space where you can have fun, connect with yourself, and build community :-)
3. what is your favourite food at ahimsa?
impossible question because i can’t ever pick just one thing: the brownies + ‘m*spicy’ + clean freak but I swap the kale out for lettuce and remove tomatoes 🙅🏽♀️🍅
4. what is your favourite class to attend at ahimsa?
honestly sunrise flow. waking up at 5:30 will always feel like a chore, but there is absolutely nothing like an early morning practice.
5. what animal best represents you?
I think platypus. they are a freak of nature but still quite cute and loveable.
