a singer-songwriter with an affinity for the unconventional, lauren ong is an artist fascinated by music in all its forms. bridging genres in her music, she seeks to depict stories that words alone cannot convey. the synthesis of poetic lyrics and intricate arrangements create a distinctive voice, anchored on self-discovery and comprehension, through which she hopes to help others feel understood.
in recent years, lauren has made small dents in the singapore music scene, with her first spotify single amassing over 500k streams to date. her debut album, hillcrest, was released in july 2023, and since then, she’s had opportunities to perform alongside artists all across the world. having recently relocated to San Diego for school, some highlights thus far include playing shows with sofar sounds san diego and songwriter’s sanctuary SD, and getting involved with the…
